It starts with an introduction to the workshop and the course layout. We discuss the meaning of what Mindfulness is and some of the research around it. We also look at the global giants who have adopted such training.
FOCUS & CALM
Our day is full of distractions which take us away from the present moment experience. To be fully present and focussed brings a feeling of calm. Stress is greatly reduced by learning mindfulness techniques of focus.
We analyse the cause of stress and the physical effects of stress on the body and mind. Learning to focus on one thing at a time and letting go of the idea of multi-tasking reduces stress. Tech addiction is identified as an enemy of mindfulness.
CREATIVITY & INNOVATION
We cannot solve our problems with the same level of mind that created them. Being able to develop an objective view encourages creativity & innovation. This ability is established through mindfulness training.
Many studies have been conducted in recent years prove emotionally intelligent people outperform those with higher IQ's 70% of the time. The good news is EQ can be developed through mindfulness training.
Once mindfulness is developed we turn this focus onto our actions, are we sowing seeds of togetherness and right living? Our actions determine our perceptions and point to the importance of keeping track of one's conduct.
Mindfulness training strengthens our awareness so that we can see which thoughts and actions create dull, mundane work experiences. Knowing what to cultivate we can create a great space for ourselves and others.
After the initial 8 week sessions we encourage a monthly check in to encourage the practice and unity of the delegates. Special advanced training for dedicated individuals is also on offer.
